    v I completely agree with this. Some songs actually took several YEARS to grow for me (not all of them -I pretty much loved Sorriso and Hollow at first listen), but now I love every song and every bit of them. The compositions on this album are extremely strong. I even think I love it more than Raka (which is arguably vocally better though), proof that she doesn't need all this orgy of choirs and cinematic overproduction to be wonderful.Truly intense, emotional and inspirational album.

    Amazing album. She should stop releasing shit like Lost Children, drop the synth madness and make that kind of acoustic songs again. And since her only attempt at jazz was awesome, why not make other songs in this style?

    Albeit not her best release (Raka is even better IMO, though more neoclassical-oriented), Navigatoria is an amazing neofolk album with surprising and diverse influences: classical and baroque, freak folk, jazz, gothic rock, ambient and world music. In this album, she sings in Italian, Japanese, French, English and in an Ethiopian dialect called Amharic. Most songs are growers and take several listens to be fully appreciated; all of them are utterly beautiful. You never ever get bored of them. I first listened to Navigatoria in 2007 and it's still one of my favorite albums of all time. Highly recommended; my only complaint is, it's such a pity this album is no longer sold.
