千住明的作品涵盖古典及现代音乐领域，曾先后为多出动画及电影制作背景音乐，故此有“映像音乐魔术师”的美誉。千住明亦曾编写钢琴协奏曲、交响乐及器乐独奏作品，其作品旋律鲜明、细腻且动人，代表作有Gloria ～希望の光～、“宿命”钢琴协奏曲等。
千住明的父亲为庆应义塾大学的名誉教授及工学博士，母亲千住文子为教育评论学者；其兄千住博为一位画家，其妹千住真理子为小提琴家。千住明三兄妹在艺术上均有卓越成就，故被称为“艺术家三兄弟”。

batatshi Soundtracks for Brotherhood are for sure much more melodic than those composed by Oshima.

nezumi-szczur Well, I like both the soundtracks though Brotherhood as a whole is a bit better for me because I prefer original manga storyline. Anyway, first anime and its soundtrack were awesome too.

Yahooaneca Still, he really did suprise me. I never thought anyone could do soundtrack as good as Oshima did for the first series, but his ost is totally awesome.
