森明菜出道並不是一帆風順, 她曾三度參加電視台的歌唱比賽「スター誕生!」 (明星誕生) 才勝出。前兩次分別以岩崎宏美的「夏に抱かれて」(擁抱夏天的) 及松田聖子的「青い珊瑚礁」(藍色珊瑚礁) 參賽, 落敗的原因是歌唱與年紀不配合! (這是什麼理由啊! ) 明菜生來就有一把磁性的嗓子, 就是迷上這種獨一無二的特質嘛。

皇天不負有心人, 終於憑著山口百惠的「夢先案内人」以歷史性的高分入選, 並嬴得十一間公司垂青, 最後穫得了「研音」的合約。於1982年5月1日, 推出了處女作「スローモーション」 (Slow Motion), 正式踏足藝能界。
1982年7月1日, 大碟「プロローグ〈序幕〉」發行了。當中收錄了「スロ－モ－ション」, 加上細碟 side B 歌曲「条件反射」, 以及另外八首, 就成了中森明菜的首張個人專輯。總銷售量45萬3千隻, Oricon 大碟榜最高第5位。

TATTOO was my first Akina song and "I MISSED 'THE SHOCK'" was one of my first loves as well. Love late 80s Akina.

I think that might be some kind of copyrigt issue that they can't be making money out of the other artists on that show or else they would probably have to negotiate a more complex contract that compensates them also so they make those cuts. For me Japan always seemed kinda strict about these sort of things so I wouldn't be surprised if it was something like this.

I can't make a comparison between THE BEST TEN and Yoru No HIT STUDIO both are totally different for me! I would say that THE BEST TEN is closer to Uta No TOP TEN/THE TOP TEN. Back to the subject I really hated how they promoted something that wasn't in the PREMIUM BOX :/ there are several cuts! For example they cut the image of the Arale-Chan Ice Sculpture by the time that Akina performed in that Ice park also they cut that performance in which appeared TUNNELS in the background there are also a lot of bad ZOOMS editions, blurry scenes and clearly some artists refused to appear I don't know why maybe a thing of $. I saw Momoko, Naoko, Kyoko and Shizuka so for me seems that a male singer against to appear on the PREMIUM BOX or maybe was that was Seiko.
