i saw this thing going around back in the day, and just remembered about it, so i thought i'd bring it here, as it seems appropriate (and fun).
this is what you do:
1. Open your music library 2. Put it on shuffle 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing
okay, go.
Opening Credits: Waking Up: First Day At School: First Kiss: Falling In Love: Fight Song: Breaking Up: Prom: Life Is Good: Mental Breakdown: Driving: Flashback: Getting Back Together: Wedding: Paying The Dues: Birth of a Child: The Night Before The War: Final Battle: Moment of Triumph: Death Scene: Funeral Song: End Credits:
Opening Credits: "Benzie Box" DangerDoom (gonna be a good flick, y'all...) and i'm from (and still live in GA) -- not bad.
Waking Up: "G.P.T." Martha Wainwright. I dig this song. Guess Irene's nocturnal.
First Day At School: "Lies and Alibis" Lovage. I was just told: "your iTunes has a good sense of humor." Agreed.
First Kiss: "Improvise" Jurassic 5. hilarious.
Falling In Love: "New Life" Blind Melon. this is pretty sharp. and a little too perfect... (but i hope i keeps up.) it's gonna be a whirlwind.
Fight Song: "Cheating on You" Franz Ferdinand. I'm gonna kick some ass. (the suggestion: "maybe you're getting in a fight because of a girl.") I'm kinda looking forward to the fight now... Hopefully the resolution is bright though.
Breaking Up: "Don't Forget" Martha Wainwright again. This is a little weird. I have like 4000 songs on in iTunes right now. These lyrics will be devastating: "Don't forget that I always love you -- just a reminder for you to pave your own pathway...And in my own silly mind i'm going to marry you..." (i think these are correct). my friend: "it's just weird because it could've been that peanut song by Andre or something."
Prom: "No Voice was Raised" Castanets. This prom is gonna be tight as hell. I love this song. OOOoooh!
(I'm inserting a new one below because I wanna know what happens after this prom)
Graduation: "See You When I See You" Goodie Mob. my friend: "that's good. see you when i see you, assholes." Agreed.
Life Is Good: "You Can See Me" Supergrass. You can always count on the grass for a good time. That's the way i feel about it, at least.
Mental Breakdown: "Underwear" Magnetic Fields. my friend: "You like this song -- you'll be accompanied by good music in your breakdown. It does kinda seem like crazy person music." indeed. there's gonna be some friction in this breakdown.
Driving: first, what is this? (my friend: car scene, you're probably going somewhere.) i guess. so anyway, it's "Woke Up This Morning" Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes. this is some good driving music. this is going pretty awesomely.
Flashback: "Furnace Room Lullabye" Neko Case. Amazing. "At night all I hear is your heartbeat." and all that haunting... "can't seem to move myself up from the basement/ the demon holds my heart till i die." "i've gone, you've gone." and check the end. My friend: "You need a cigarette after that song, it's so good."
Getting Back Together: "Two Circles" Boredoms. Sounds good to me!
Wedding: "What It's All About" Girl Talk. Glad to know the wedding is gonna be the jam. Everyone's invited.
Paying The Dues: "The Cosmos" Sun Ra. That's a lot of dues to pay. my friend: "sounds like you have some contemplating to do." this song is pretty long, too. but if i gotta pay dues, it may as well be awesome avant-garde jazz. this is actually exciting. i think i'll hear this one out. i'm gonna be busy. good.
Birth of a Child: "Truth's Razors" Immortal Technique. No doubt.
The Night Before The War: "Clear Island" Liars. Not really what I was expecting, but a great lesson. Sounds like i'm going to win. I've got intensity and strategy, it seems. Good.
Final Battle: "Esther's" Amon Tobin. Sounds like an intense, psychological battle. I like it.
Moment of Triumph: "I Created Disco" Calvin Harris. It might take a while to set in, but it'll be good. At least creation is involved.
Death Scene: "Eagle" Whiff Trophy. Wow. I orchestrated my own death (but it was a "cover"??). Interesting song for death. Kinda neat. I use some of the same words and what not, but it certainly has my stamp on it, and my respect, certainly. Dunno what the subtext is though.
Funeral Song: "Mobilia" The Field. Cool! This will be my perspective, I guess. It's gonna be digital and organic and a slice of eternity for the exploration. I'm for it.
End Credits: "Fancy Claps" Wolf Parade. I like this film.
