介绍:
For those who can't stand seeing their favourite artists incorrectly tagged as "anime".
Our philosophy:
While we do know tags are subjective and may be used freely by anyone to group items, we think that there are right uses and wrong uses of the "anime" tag, most especially when it comes to tagging bands.
We don't listen to anime music; we listen to JAPANESE music. Used in anime or not, we consider all japanese music as JAPANESE MUSIC. There are no "anime bands". Just Japanese bands who may have songs featured in anime. And as far as we know, Japanese bands are NOT Japanese animation. We are aware of the existence of fictional bands in anime. You may tag them as you want to, but if you happen to tag the REAL people behind the music as "anime"...
Having 3 songs out of 100 used in anime does not qualify a full-fledged artist as "anime singer", or "anime soundtrack". If a band's entire discography (rather than a specific song, or album) was made to be featured in anime, feel free to tag them as such if you think that they are Japanese animation dedicated enough. "Seiyuu"s are also artists, by the way. But seriously, how many artists out there qualify?
And really, why should all Japanese artists be tagged as such when they don't have a single song used in anime? 'cause they're baka Japaniiz and kawaiiiiiiiiiiiii anime r00lz Japan!!!11? Give me a break.
Feel free to discuss other Japanese music related tags in the forum.
This is NOT a Japanese animation hate group. Read our manifesto.
