due to recent events, the powers that be at my school have been forced to construct a notice to be on plain display all over the school grounds, it looks something like this.

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on all weapon-related offences, in particular knives, I PLEDGE TO NOT CARRY A KNIFE

all written in... you guessed it, comic sans.
it really made me chuckle that such a serious message could be presented in such an idiotic way.

I haven't seen that. It sounds ridiculous though. I might bring a knife in one day, just to slash up that notice.

Believe it or not, our high school student guide also has a rule like that written in Comic Sans. The entire pamphlet of thirty-some pages is typed in the offending font.

If I were you, I would have put up a notice in Verdana that reads:

We students have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on all Comic Sans-related fonts, in particular Comic Sans itself, I PLEDGE TO NOT USE THESE FONTS
