What is everyone listening to other then thrash?

 

  • What is everyone listening to other then thrash?

    I think it would be fun to hear what you all are listening to. Maby all you listen to is thrash? Maby you are very big on other sub-genres of metal? Maby you like different genres? Anyway, it would be fun to hear about.

    I for an instance like just about all metal(what i'm willing to call metal anyway ;P) Accept for moast powermetal.

    well im mostly into Groove/Speed/Thrash Metal.... but at the other times i listen Alternative Rock and Classic Finnish Rock (its different as music and by lyrical themes)

    thats about it :DD im bit closeminded

  • Most of the time I spend on listening Thrash ;) but from other genres i like
    Psycho-Rap from Poland (Kaliber 44), Death Metal (Death, Bolt Thrower...), Power Metal (HammerFall) and seldom Hard Rock (Whitesnake). I think
    thats all...

    i listen too all kinds of metal mainly thrash because i grew up when it was at it's most popular but coming a close second is death metal

  • heavy Metal is basically the only other type of metal i listen to due to the fact tht power metal is rly gay and glam (gay L A music) sucks

    Except thrash I listen mainly to death metal, espacially to the more technical side. Except it I listen to few classic heavy metal bands (Maiden, Priest). As for power metal, I find it gay and boring however i'm a big fan of Blind Guardian.

  • Groove, death, heavy. Just like the poster above, I really like tech death. Especially tech brutal. It just rocks. I also can't stand power metal.

    To quote Pushmajster, I listen to thrash a lot of time, but I still like NWOBHM (Maiden, Judas, Tank, Saxon), power metal like Dream Evil, Helloween, a little death from the Swedish Unleashed and hardrock along with AC/DC and Airbourne.

    I listen to most kinds of metal, but nothing "too pompous" Sabaton and likes.

    I also like some punk, hardcore, "regular hard rock" and even "classic rock" and Swedish or Norwegian "humor rock".

    Progressive, melodic and technical death metal, death metal, groove metal, heavy metal, progressive metal, progressive rock, funk metal, southern rock, stoner rock, folk metal, the list goes on really.

    Jazz(john coltrane miles davis, jaco pastorius),
    Fusion(ohm:,allan holdsworth,mahavishnu orchestra)
    Rock, Hard Rock, ClassicRock(CCR, Sytx), Progressive Rock(rush, yes),
    Funk (funkadelic),
    Hip-hop (roots, public enemy), Some rap(wu tang clan),
    Punk (discharge, iggy pop, misfits)
    Shred (Jason Becker, Steve Vai)
    Blues (jimi hendrix, muddy waters)
    pretty much anything besides almost all mainstream and country(excluding johny cash)
    yeah, im very fucking open minded.

  • I listen to a lot of black metal...Emperor, Enslaved, Drudkh, Immortal, Blut Aus Nord etc. plus all the old school straight up heavy metal acts....Maiden, Sabbath, Manowar, Dio, Priest etc. I loved the early death metal scene but it`s gotten stale IMO and I can handle about half a dozen or so power metal bands. I like something from most metal sub genres come to think of it!

    Doom metal. Lots of it. 60's and 70's psychedelic rock. Some death metal. Classic heavy metal like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Quite a bit of black metal. Punk. 80's hard rock. And a little folk rock like Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

    i've started to open up. im huge fan of hardcore hip hop and psychedelic trance aswell
