  Don't forget Edinburgh's Holocaust. They invented thrash metal a few years before Metallica et al. They're also a rare example of a lyrically adept metal band.

  The Shamen from Aberdeen their song Ebeneezer Goode definitely did not promote Extasy. Yeah right. The Bluebells from Glasgow a great live band they really put on a show.
