Best Nordic artists/bands at the moment?

Mine would probably be:

Jonathan Och Hjältar(Swe, pop)
Blindside(Swe, rock)
Gustaf Thörn(Swe, "björk-isch" electropop)

I most say Blindside's newest album The Great Depression kick ass. It's so mindblowing, The music aren't perfect but the emotions, the meaning is blastering straight through. If you like any kind of Rock try it!

So you mean by "act" a musician? Well, Nowdays still playing probobly CMX, Zen Cafe, eppu normaali and more.

I've fallen for Scandinavian Music Group and Röyksopp again after a while. SMG is the number one summer band.

I don't think nordic bands can claim or perform in the same spectrum as the non - nordic bands.
I think american bands, especially emo and rock bands, perfrom better than nordic bands does in this spectrum.

So, sorry, i don't got a favourite band from the nordic countries.

Anyway, I think that Amon Amarth, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir and of course (United we Stand^^)Lordi are some of the best nordic Bands ever!!! xD
If Germany can be counted as Nordic too, I would also add Eisregen, Blind Guardian, Samsas Traum and the Comedian Otto Waalkes.

Tiger Baby - Check them out if you like Saint Etienne.

Mew is the best. And will be the best for a very long time. And has been the best for 9 months or something.

Other good bands: Kashmir, Sigur Rós, Múm, The Ark and Disco Ensemble. And do not forget Stina Nordenstam! As you see, I like many kinds of music... :)
