  when i first heard about harry potter i wrote it off as some fad. a friend gave me the first two for my birthday and i love them.the same could be the case for twilight. i wish everyone would just keep an open mind about ANYTHING new.movies, music, etc. etc.

  The Twighlight series are films made for a certain audience. They're bound to have followers and critics. Just like the Harry Potter films, The Bat Man films, the Saw series; they all have an audience that loves it, some people will be indifferent, and others will despise the films. I do think it's odd that some people take their dislike of certain movies personally. If you don't like the films, don't watch them. But respect the fact that others do like them.

  I was just ranting generally Jc, and I certainly wasn't referring to you. Just to note; everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just find it annoying when people believe something has been deemed ok to criticize and so they criticize it.

  hey, i do like some vampire movies so it may very well be good. i am just behind everything as far as movies go. music i follow religiously. movies, i really need time to sit and enjoy them.i am taking all this to mean i will watch it at some point.maybe sooner then later.

  Well, New Moon is out now which makes it very relevant, and our last banner was of Billy Wilder films which is extremely iconic, so it's not as if we are starved for either element. I love when film creates conversation be it agreeable or disagreeable, but it's annoying when anything confines our way of seeing things. True, the greater the film the more you can see, feel and interpret, but... if you went into a film with no preconceptions, no knowledge of the story, no one to judge you for watching it, would you see something more than if you went in otherwise?

  it is really ignorant to call a movie that features michael sheen and alexandre desplat's music rubbish you know. crank 2 may be rubbish, new moon is nowhere near that, from any point of you, but I suppose it's not a guy movie :)

  The Movie Group has a long tradition of tolerance and acceptance of everyone's opinions about movies, and about everything else. Bashing a movie for the sake of insulting it's audience will not be permitted here. Nor will bashing any group of people on the basis of race, sex, religion, age (because I'm the oldest person here), sexual preference, or any other reason we might make up along the way.
