  I call it the "museumification" of jazz. But if I can no longer shuck and jive at 70, I suppose I will join the ranks in the seated area... But the same thing has happened with poetry readings and plays. I always get strange looks when getting trashed with friends at Shakespeare in the Park events.

  What about Mary Halvorson? She and all of her projects (Mary Halvorson Trio, Mary Halvorson Quintet....) are pretty ecstatic, too. Definitely a big recommendation from me.
