  @JupiterAss: lolwut? Shining overrated? There is no better horror film out there, everything pales in comparison. And Clockwork isn't overated either, maybe you just don't understand it. Full Metal Jacket isn't as great, but still very good. Eyes Wide Shut is rather weak imo. I'm not sure about Barry Lyndon, have only seen it once, but I'm not much into such kind of dramas.

  from all the films i watched, i truly liked only one Dr.Strangelove, 2001 has amazing visuals but poor plot for me, not saying it's bad just not that much for my taste. Really need to watch Shining which can become my favourite by him i think. Clockwork orange indeed is very overrated though i started with this film. Full metal jacket was just good and i disliked Eyes Wide Shut. still need to see Paths of glory and Spartacus

  He made only two great films "2001, Dr. Strangelove" most of his other films are overrated and that dosen't mean they are BAD. He's although the best at using a camera in films.

  Barry Lyndon. One of my favourite movies and also the favourite of my sister, she is five and was four when she saw it. She joined me in the sofa when I visited my family and watched the movie, she sat thorugh the entire film. Lord Bullingdon was "her boy" she said.
