For those who are inclined,...

Bush certainly has not disappeared, but I think the new Congress has his number well enough that we can move to our next challenge... I am putting out a call to other Scrobblers to become active in the evolving primary process. Yes, we can start groups here for and against certain candidates. I've taken the initiative to start one against Fred Thompson here. More importantly, though, we need to become ACTIVE participants in the process. CLICK HERE for VOTE-SMART's homepage; there you'll find information on your current representatives (enter your ZIP) and voter registration ( at the top). It's quick, easy, and the best way to prevent four more years of tragic domestic & international policy!

Official voter registration deadlines (as primaries creep up on us) are found on the Federal Election Assistance Commission's page here.

Yes, there are still fights over Bush policy, but we need to focus on choosing a worthy and effective successor instead of wrestling with a lame duck.

For those in the US (or anyone who listens to it online), there's a group for NPR here. I know there's also an Air America group, too.

    while being quite the twit overall, i still think Bush isn't the worst president of all time. I joined this group near the beginning and now at the end of his administration I am bound to say that he may go down as one of the top 5 presidents of all time. When you step back and take an analysis of all the information made to the average citizen, you will realize W. Bush was nothing but a groomed puppet. You can't hate someone for never being able to find what they truthfully stood for. He grew up in a lifestyle enabling him to be worn by any who would try and show him a way. Just because Dick Cheney took advantage of this guy because of his personal agenda doesn't mean he should be hated. He just was never appreciated for having a mind of his own and taken advantage for this weakness. If you were in a rich atmosphere with the best career for you being a puppet I'll bet you'd go ahead and follow that path. Not saying he was great to avoid any flak, just that he was always manipulated.
