  May 18th, 1980 IAN CURTIS ended his life, aged 23. The driving force behind Joy Division's dark vision, he hanged himself in his Macclesfield home as the band rested between a European and American tour. Iggy Pop's 'The Idiot' was found on his turntable alongside a note which read "at this very moment, I wish I were dead. I just can't cope anymore".

  Don't want to make too much of a fuss promoting this band, but if it's not too much of a bother you might check: http://www.last.fm/music/the+bad+days+will+end . Band from Romania, largely influenced by post-punk bands like Joy Division, Killing Joke, PiL, A Certain Ration, but with a more harsh, noisy, experimental sound. Demos are all DIY, studio quality coming this spring.
