I had horse once? How boring. I must explore the endless variety of meat in the world before they extinct.

Last summer I ate bear, and that was probably the most unusual food I've ever eaten.

I'm stil not sure wether it was a good thing to eat or not. Quote from the waiter in the restaurant: "Don't worry, we have over 500 bears living in the wild in this country (it was in Slovenia)."

    tasted okay though. ;-)

Oh, and I ate camel once. Almost forgot. That's also not your everyday food I guess.

Then the somewhat more or less not so unusual animals: goat, sheep, frogs, snails, ostrich, deer, raw herring (delicacy in the Netherlands), reindeer, mussels, oyster, deep fried insects (I think they were crickets or grasshoppers), rabbit, hare, duck, squid (grilled with garlic - yummi!). Oh and wild boar tasts fine also.

Probably forgot some but since I'm getting hungry of all this I can't be bothered anymore and I'm of to my kitchen to make me some food ;-)

    Funny you mention wild boar...

The area I'm currently living in has many wild boars and according to my grandfather it's not uncommon for them to be caught, fattened-up, and sold to market.

We were discussing what kind of food products they could possibly be used for, and how it would taste, etc.

Anyhow I don't really have anything to add to the list that hasn't already been mentioned (not that I can think of at the moment) but this topic gave me the idea of starting a thread about what are some of the more unusual parts of an animal people have eaten, would like to try, etc.
