Here's why:
When you buy a Major Label CD for £9.99

- about 82p goes to the band if they have paid back the label.
- about £4 goes to HMV/Virgin etc. +tax
- about 16p goes to those behind...

When you join this group, you join a list of people who oppose the RIAA, and will join in boycotts. The members list may be linked to when complaints are sent, to show that there is real opposition.

We are a group in favour of a more fair music industry, boycotting major label CDs, and supporting artists who refuse to join major labels.

I don't understand why websites like ThePirateBay.org are attacked so viciously by the RIAA, when companies like Rapidshare - who HOST the files and charge MONEY to download them - seem to be getting no heat whatsoever.
