Just downloaded the beta version of the new desktop application. It works fine save for that it does not seem to recognize my iPod touch. Not that it makes a difference as the old one did not scrobble my iPod touch either.
At present I am using iScrob which scrobbles in real time through wifi when available. I am disappointed that last.fm has not introduced that feature a while ago. I think it is a much better way then scrobble through the iTunes application which is a very buggy way of doing it it seems.
