  Hey guys, thanks for letting me back in. Realised the worst thing to do after losing interest in metal was to leave the group, as staying would probably keep me in the group and maybe inspire me to check out some new shit.

  Saint Vitus' self-titled is my favorite by them. Scott Reagers is a great vocalist and, as much as I like the albums that succeeded, I almost wish they stuck with him. I would kill to see Aeternus play material from their first two albums. Some of the best metal ever recorded.

  Nostalgia definitely plays a big part in my liking of certain bands or albums. Deathspell Omega is a good example, actually; I got into them before they released Si Monumentum, a period where I was heavily into raw black metal and they satiated that desire perfectly. I still like that era of the band quite a lot (never got into anything after Si Monumentum...) but I imagine I'd find it pretty lackluster if I heard it today for the first time.
