    Hello.
I'm 22-years old music producer who tries to unite trip hop, electronica, ambient, nujazz, dubstep and many more. My first EP titled "Mysterious Bats From The Slums" was released by Next Dimension Music (www.nextdimensionmusic.com) on 26th of February. You can listen to short clips of each track on http://myspace.com/lukeingforward
    Here you can download promomix:

EP can be bought here or on for example www.itunes.com

    Mysterious Bats From The Slums:
    1. Can't See The Light (minimal mix)
    2. Mysterious Bats From The Slums
    3. Indream
    4. Wooden Keys

"Mysterious Bats From The Slums" is mix of downtempo, trip hop, ambient and many more like nujazz, electronica or IDM. Filtred synths, deep, filthy pads and subtle noises blend with acoustic instruments like grand piano, double-bass, oldschool strings. Whole thing is "conducted" by often powerful beats made of dirty samples. I try to don't limit myself and simply produce music that I feel instead of copying schemes invented by other artits.

    Few words about me:

My adventure with music started many years ago – my first favourite bands were Metallica and Queen. At that time, like every teenager fascinated with rock music I started playing the guitar (which fortunately I still do and often incorporate the sound of guitars into my productions) and tried to get to know more and more rock bands. Soon I discovered the existence of other music styles and most importantly my fascination with blues and jazz had begun. I have to admit I was over conservative and avoided listening to music created without the usage of „live” instruments or done using sampling. Fortunately, I got past my naive (and limiting) prejudices after which electronica, trip hop or nu jazz became my world.

My biggest inspiration is the work of other artists – I try to listen to as much music as I can, without limiting myself to any genres, subcultures or nations. When it comes to rock then I must say that I love albums of such bands as Led Zeppelin, Guns N'Roses, Pink Floyd (especially first albums, until Wish You Were Here), King Crimson, Korn or Pantera. If I feel like listening to some chill out music then immediately songs by Jamiroquai pop up in my head and on my mp3 player. In comparison, when I’m in need of a darker and mysterious vibe I turn to nu jazz sounds like Nils Petter Molaver, Erik Truffaz or bands like Nuspirit Helsinki, Triosk, Wibutee, Medeski, Martin & Mood or polish Pink Freud. When it comes time for classic jazz, then you cannot find anyone better than Miles Davis, John Coltrane or Herbie Hancock. You could say that my musical foundations are composed of all those artist and many more. They all influence me indirectly – indirectly, because I do not copy their musical solutions, I merely let myself be inspired and motivated to develop my own musical ideas.
