Fantasy Greenbelt Lineup

to be honest even if money and reality were suspended i wouldn't want anything too drastic. the real big names and it would stop feeling like greenbelt. though a few surprise guests would be nice.

wouldn't it be great if we could have Iain Archer on stage and his snow patrol mates showed up for a couple of songs , if Andy Yorke could play a set and his brother turn up for a duet. that kind of thing. but i wouldn't want full sets from these big names that would be turning greenbelt into something else.

given sinead o'conner's last couple of albums would be great to have her think she is too big for greenbelt to currently afford but small enough she could do a set without turning greenbelt into something else.

and moving away from main stage - why haven't King Kool ever been booked? (Dan donovan's latest outfit) . Hey if this is my dream can we have dan do a three hour set including along the way every major line up he's had! :-)

Michelle shocked would make a great performance cafe headliner! given you specifically said monday night i'm thinking mainly in terms of the bigger names. Michael Franti and spearhead may have played two out of the last three years but he would be part of if not headlining any dream line up of mine (Ok in my dream he would headline with a reformed disposable heroes of hip hoprisey but as they split back in about 94 that can stay in my dreams)


speakers? hmmm if we are in the realm of fantasy i've always thought Nick cave would make a great seminar speaker (no honestly , go listen to the spoken word CD he brought out a few years back , based on the forward he wrote for the gospel of mark)

one dream speaker would be a return for Mike Riddell but given he doesn't really do speaking any more (or so i believe) it would be a lucky break. Last time he came was with a play he'd written and the talk was a bit of an extra, fingers crossed he writes another play and happens to bring it to britain in time for greenbelt!

just looking down Benjaminbrum's top artist list - sufjan stevens, elbow, rufus wainwright, david ford, starting to look pretty much like a dream line up to me !
