  It's a masterpiece! Tim Burton is a genius! Johnny Depp, while talking about the movie and its connection to Burton's life stated that "Tim is Edward." And the whole idea of a man with scissors instead of hands was originally a drawing Tim Burton made to depict himself, actually. He admitted that Edward Scissorhands is his most personal work. It must have been very exciting for him to work with his greatest idol Vincent Price in the movie.
