At the beginning where Frank took Donnie out of bed and told him that the world will ind in 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes, and 12 seconds why is it exactly this much? Is it just because frank already knows that Donnie will then be in his bedroom at halloween or is there more behind these numbers?
Well they add up to 88. 8 is a number the movie is apparently obsessed with. If you look closely enough you'll find it :) It's a reference to the eighth day in the Christian religion and freemasonry.
