Konrad „Conny“ Plank
Producer, engineer and musician
* May 3, 1940 in Hütschenhausen
† December 18, 1987 in Cologne

Konrad Plank is probably the most important German producer ever, and his creativity as a sound engineer helped to forge some of the most creative works form the krautrock 70's scene. He also had a strong influence on many acts of the new wave period in the late 70's and early 80's.

What a producer. The first NEU! and Kraftwerk albuma were as much him as them. Both 'Krautrock' classics. his work with Cluster was fantastic as well.

I like that picture (stolen from the liquidation site of his famous studio, exactly from here). Conny looks like a criminal or even a terrorist on it.
