  Also, I have been rather ignorant of Mussorgsky's other works, other than his masterpieces A Night on A Bald Mountain and Pictures at an Exhibition, but his operas are quite fantastic, and I highly recommend Boris Godounov to everyone. :)

  @ TotemsFlare: If you want some dissonant piano concertos, I highly recommend Alexander Scriabin. Very difficult music to listen to, and I find his work a pleasure.

  @K_O_V_A_L: Of course thousands of artists do perform the Adagio. What I meant was that the famous "Albinoni's Adagio in G minor" is composed by the Italian musicologist Remo Giazotto. Giazotto claimed "Adagio" was based on a basso continuo fragment by Albinoni, but he never published any such "original fragment". A person familiar with Italian late baroque music can easily tell that the composition is not from the 18th century and it's not even close to the style of Albinoni. The fact that Dreadeth is unaware of this but still uses his time to write such a childish hate-post, makes the whole thing pretty hilarious.

  Dreadeth: you told him :) It's quite problematic because many artists play the same work. I saw Albinoni's Adagio performed by about five other artists. The same about other. If you don't know something it's difficult to get the knowledge who's the first one :)
