Which song won you over?

 
  • I think Silent Alarm over all made me love Bloc Party. I also love how they perform live. :D All of BP's albums are on my iPod and I think they'll always be there.

    Well I believe it was Helicopter that was the song that got my attention. But when i heard Banquet thats when i converted

  • First one that caught my attention was The Prayer, it came on NME Tv, just when I was getting into good music. Did some buying, got through Silent Alarm, and when i came across tracks like Modern Love, I pretty much: fell in love. Intimacy has some awesome tracks on it too, Ion Square is one of my favourite songs of all time.
    They also have sooo many unknown treasures among the B-sides; Plans Acoustic, Storm and Stress, i could go on forever. :]

  • first i heard "blue light" on the oc - unfortunately it was the remix (i didn't like the original that much).
    later a friend of mine gave me the album "a weekend in the city". it wasn't outstanding, but i decided to listen to the first album "silent alarm" and it was great (it still is =D). the song, which made this love possible, was "positive tension" :)

    sorry, if i made any mistakes - my english leaves a lot to be desired.^^

  • This Modern Love from Silent Alarm.
    I remember reading a review of the album somewhere, and a few days later I saw the vinyl for sale, so, I thought 'why not", and bought it. After a few listens I loved it and wanted to hear more.

  • Banquet hooked me. I heard it in a youtube video. I had never heard anything remotely close to Bloc Party's sound. I was instantly mesmerized by it. The rest is history.

    When I first heard song FLUX it stunned me and I started to listen Bloc Party and it became one of my beloved bands overall. Also songs this moden love, two more years mean a lot to me, because it takes me back in sweet memories.

  • First I heard was Bloc Party - The Prayer on Project Gotham Racing 4 soundtrack. Adored it. Checked other songs, love each album's sound and how different they each are.
