  My preferred media-player has been Exaile for quite a few years now. I Never really cared for Rhythmbox, tried Amrok and had noting but problems with it. I've recently upgraded from Xubuntu 11.04 to Ubuntu 11.10 and I have to say, I find Banshee to be a pleasure to use! It functions well, scrobbles with no problems and the ID3 tag editor is awesome! I would use it for the tagging tool alone...not to mention the album art fetcher!

  I've been using Banshee on Mandriva for a week and it works just fine, I'm glad I finally found a really good player that scrobbles at the same time (because I used to be an Amarok fan, but it brought me so many problems that I just gave up)

  Aiwa-Lee, Banshee uses a newer version of the Last.fm API which requires you to be a subscriber.

  Using clementine and banshee atm on my Arch Linux box, very good music player keep it up! last time i used banshee was about 2 years ago, its has really improved!

  I prefer Rhythmbox over Banshee, but that doesn't mean I don't use Banshee. ;-)

  It's not a bad media player. I like Rhythmbox best, but Banshee is a close second. :) There just don't seem to be as many plugins available for it.
