  I haven't ever referred to Dream Theater as avant-garde, but if you don't think that they perform their fair share of musical experimentation, you're probably listening to the wrong tracks.

  Unique to this group>>>>>>>>Overall. Seriously, Opeth? Tool? Muse? Dream Theater? Muse isn't even metal, Opeth is overrated, Tool is bad, and DT is nothing close to experimental. But Sigh, Arcturus, Ulver, Solefald, Katatonia, Isis, Agalloch? Hell yeaaa.
