BEST AUTECHRE TRACK EVER!

BEST AUTECHRE TRACK EVER!

I was listening to Draft 7.30 today, and I noticed that my three favorite tracks by Autechre are all track number three on their respective albums (weird right? i know!). The songs are "6ie.cr" off of Draft 7.30, "Pen Expers" off of Confield, and "Rae" off of LP5 with "Pen Expers" being my clear cut favorite. I was wondering everyone else's favorite Autechre tracks were. Maybe we could compile a list to determine the BEST AUTECHRE TRACK EVER!

My fave is the remix of beaumont hannant's track, psi-onyx

psix million dollar myx [oscar goldmans' bonus]

Definately worth trying to get a hold of.

That remix is incredible, especially the last 2 minutes or so.

Yeah, I think it clocks up around 12-15 mins. Such an evolving track with an incredibly dirty bass sound. The melody is so beautiful, but when the two finally combine...

Not much of their melodic stuff comes close, except maybe piezo?

I agree, thats a great track. Also;

Vose In has an incredibly catchy melody and that snare is just amazing, it sounds like someone is squirting windex in your face,Second Scepe because it sounds like some space opera, and Vietrmx21 because it's so damn haunting.

It's too hard to pick one, but at the moment "Tilapia" has the most plays out of all the AE tracks I have. Cichli Suite is a seriously under-rated release, and imo it's the best thing they've done.

Cavity job doesn't even sound like Incunabula.

Personally, merzbow - ending (autechre remix) and Refractions In The Plastic Pulse (Autechre Feedbate Remix) are hard to beat.

My fav Ae trax chart changes over time, but right now it looks something like this:

- Weissensee Against Im Gluck
- Milk DX
- Gelk
- Latent Quarter
- Pro Radii
- Flutter
- Uviol
- V-PROC

I'm more hung up on their more recent work ('dry' phase) and the 'transitional' (late 90's) period.
