A wiley collection of the free thinking shoppers from Aquarius Records music store on Valencia in San Francisco, CA. Membership is open to all!

At 35 years old, Aquarius is the oldest independent record store in San Francisco. They try to only carry music they themselves love, and they're always searching for more new, cool, weird and wonderful music. All of which they then share with their loyal customers!

Aquarius Records specializes in many genres... indierock, punk, metal (black, doom, sludge and all things in between), reggae, sixties psych, seventies proto-metal, international music, experimental electronic music, hip hop, field recordings, found sounds, country and bluegrass and avant garde music of all types. Don't forget to read about their unanimous hands-down favorite records from the past 10 years or so!

i am the worst or best loyal customer and fan. i don't buy everything from them (or i might buy the store if i had the money. don't worry A and A, i'll never have the money). one thing is for certain, you can't purchase their talent for discovery or their encyclopedic knowledge bordering on omniscience. that's why i respect them. even though they have to run a business, Aquarius has found a way to serve mutual interests of fans of the kind of music in which they are also fans. however, if it wasn't for their entertaining (and accurately descriptive ) reviews i might look elsewhere more often.

I give this place too much of my money. Also, I am glad to see Radiohead nowhere in the top 10 for this group.

never been to california or bought anything from here but i vastly enjoy downloading things based on reviews on the site. actually you're even how i discovered pissed jeans.
