In addition to all the classics I've been listening to the two solo albums by members of Stars of the Lid

Brian McBride - When the Detail Lost Its Freedom
Adam Wiltzie - The Dead Texan

They're both amazing especially the Dead Texan!

My five (in order of significance):

1. Orbus Terrarum
2. Substrata
3. Chill Out
4. Amber
5. Sea Biscuit

All ambient albums by Vladislav Delay - Entain, Anima and Four Quarters specifically - they're all so good that they would fit 5-10 slots in my top ten :)

Also should be mentioned: Oval with their Systemisch and Oval Process, Remembranza,Succour. Art Is A Technology is very good too.
