The group title is an overstatement -- look the word up on Wikipedia under the name "Hyperbole" if you are confused.

Ya fucker.

The idea behind this group:
For anyone annoyed by the fact that it is usually very difficult or even impossible to scrobble music played on their MP3 or CD player, car stereo, home theater, mobile phone, or even an obscure music player on their computer.

If you've ever thought, "Why bother, I can't scrobble these plays anyway.." you are taking this 'scrobbling' thing too seriously, but feel free to join anyway!

I think we can all agree on the fact that everyone using Last.fm loves music.
Last.fm is just a tool that keeps track of the music we listen to and what we like, helps us build our taste and understanding of different music, lets us listen to new and aspiring artists and build a social network of other music loving people and see if our friends share anything with us musically.
But still, to many people -- especially anyone paying to use the radio -- Last.fm is an important tool, and thus we should keep it updated with the latest stuff we listen to, and expand the service to cover more and more platforms and services.
After all, it's to make things easier for you - the user.

    LightMP3 doesn't work on my PSP. It keeps saying that the data is corrupted. I listen to all my music on my PSP. I have to make myself listen on the computer just to get scrobbles.

    sometimes i think that i listen to a lot of music (like album on album on album) for the sake of scobbles and that's pretentious or something, but then i remember that i haven't changed my listening habits since i joined last.fm, this is the way i have always listened to music. ultimately last.fm is just a record of your listenings. what really matters is what goes on inside your head.

    what really stinks is when you listen to the radio during a long commute and cant scrobble any of the tracks you hear as you keep bouncing between stations and cant remember the time you heard song blah at, on station blah.

    This sucks. I played about 20 tracks, but my Windows Media Player 'Last.Fm' plugin was OFF! I had no idea. I just done it itself :/

    I hate it when I've played a weeks worth of music on my ipod then I plug it into my computer and my itunes plays updates but it doesn't scrobble!

    "Sometimes it doesn't scrobble on iPods. You have to listen to the whole song for it to scrobble -.-" Wow, I wish my mp4 player was like that. it does count tracks that I didn't listen to but only passed and it irritates me.
