support for Christian rock and metal artists

I just like the title of Larry Norman's song, and I think that you can adapt the message of the lyrics to today's situation. There's still a lot of Christians out there who believe that rock music is "evil" and cannot be combined with Christian lyrics.

Feel free to join if you like Christian music, particularly rock and metal, feel free to connect musicians you like to listen to, and nobody will prevent you from recommending artists.

    What i said should have been short. But a true religous person would not listen to metal due to typical characteristics. Christian rock/metal has more to with the people rather than the music

    I dont see the point in this group so heres what i know. historically, rock and metal are based on anti thesis and bad feelings. Rock and metal of all to say that even with christian lyrics or band members does not detract from what the music aims to do. In simple terms its like a dog that meows or drinking salt water, it doesn't happen. Christian metal is more underhand than you are lead to believe, metal and/ core/rock etc metal is the anti- sound of music and so you can't dress it up. Self proclaimed christians making metal music is still satanic in more ways than is sold as truth. For example skillet are christian rock yet there are lyrics about self harm and hating parents, something a true christian would not believe is a "good" thing to do. True christian music would be cliff richard, not those trying make metal into something it isn't

    I think the legendary White Heart (http://www.last.fm/music/White+Heart) ought to be connected to the artists, given their immense talent musically and their key role in pioneering Christian rock - if my eyes served me correctly, at least I didn't see it in the connected artists yet :)

    Haha, okay, I'm not christian, but I love rock and metal, including some bands that happen to be Christian, and I find it kinda funny, yet ridiculous that some Christians think rock and metal music is "evil" or "satanic" xD There's a girl at my school who's mom believes Halloween is a "Satan holiday" so they won't celebrate it... Crazy Christians... :P

    Allright, good group. I'm afraid that my words may not be very pleasant for somedy but the thing is, that it is not always about Christ when band members call themselve's "christian". Actually if band members are realy christian and fulfill God's will in their lives they usually are not so popular or "cool" and sometimes even rejected. Almost in every case if band calls itself christian it consists of hypocrites, compromising with world. I don't judge, but this is just facts I always try to bear in mind.
