Immerse yourself in an emerging American arts scene, with a weekend of evocative new music and multi-arts performances inspired by the landscape of the USA, curated by composer and guitarist of rock band The National, Bryce Dessner.
20th century classics and new works sit side by side, drawing fascinating connections between recent generations of American artists.
Immerse yourself in Dessner’s musical universe as he presents new material for Chicago-based ensemble eighth blackbird and New York City percussion quartet So Percussion alongside the world premiere of a new orchestral work by Dessner and Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry, written for Britten Sinfonia and featuring visuals by celebrated Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto.
Also part of the weekend will be performances of music by Michael Gordon, John Luther Adams, and others to be announced.
