Festival Metal Mania Open Air je po dveh letih premora lani uspešno vstal
od mrtvih in več kot navdušil z nastopoma nosilnih skupin, legendarnih
nemških thrasherjev Destruction in švedskih death'n'roll prvakov Entombed.
Čeprav gre za prvi metalski open air festival v Sloveniji, ki prav letos
praznuje svojo 10. obletnico, vseeno ne sodi med največje, niti se ne more
pohvaliti z najbolj bleščečimi svetovnimi imeni, ampak še vedno stavi vse
na prijetno domače vzdušje v idiličnem ambientu razgibane kraške pokrajine,
kjer je poudarek predvsem na kvalitetnem druženju in zabavi.
Vendar to še zdaleč ne pomeni, da se zapostavlja glasbena plat festivala,
saj bodo letos nosilci posameznih večerov nemški heavy metal veterani
Primal Fear ter norveška black/thrash metal senzacija Aura Noir, ki jo
sestavljajo nekateri sedanji oziroma bivši člani Satyricon, Immortal,
Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Ulver, Ava Inferi, Cadaver Inc., Dødheimsgard, Infernö
in še nekaterih drugih.
Seveda se bo našel prostor tudi za kakšen glasbeni biser, kot je naprimer
kultna britanska NWOBHM/doom metal zasedba Pagan Altar, ki je bila
ustanovljena že leta 1976, vendar je v začetku 80ih za njo izginila vsaka
sled. Ali italijanska black metal skupina Necromass, katere debitantski
album Mysteria Mystica Zothyriana iz leta 1994 še danes velja za enega od
mejnikov tega žanra.

Metal Mania Open Air festival after two years of break last year succesfully rised from the dead and excited lots of fans with german thrash legends Destruction and swedish death'n'roll band Entombed.
Although this is the first slovenian metal open air festival, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year , it is not one of the major festivals and neither the one with the biggest world names, but it bets all on pleasant atmosphere in idylic Karst landscape where the focus is mainly on quality socializing and fun.
This year's bands will share the stage with headliners Primal Fear, German heavy metal veterans, Norvegian black/thrash sensation Aura Noir which consists of some current or former members of Satyricon, Immortal, Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Ulver, Ava inferential, Cadaver Inc.., Dødheimsgard, Inferno and some others.
Of course, we will find room for a musical gem, as British cult NWOBHM / doom metal band Pagan Altar, which was established in 1976, but in the early 80s disappeared from the stages or Italian black metal group Necromass whose debut album Mysteria Mystica Zothyriana of 1994 is still considered one of the milestones of the genre

Il Metal Mania Open Air festival che dopo due anni l'anno scorso e' risorto dai morti con successo con i leggendari thrash metallari Destruction e i svedesi death'n'roll Entombed. Anche se questo e' il primo festival open air metallaro in Slovenia, che proprio quest'anno celebra il suo decimo anniversario, non e' uno dei piu' grandi, nemmeno con nomi piu' importanti , ma mette tutto su una piacevole atmosfera amichevole e di qualita' nel paesaggio idiliaco del Carso.
Per questa edizione le band divideranno il palco con i heavy metal veterani tedeschi Primal Fear e i black/thrash norvegesi Aura Noir, composta da alcuni membri ed ex membri di gruppi come Satyricon, Immortal, Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Ulver, Ava Inferi, Cadaver Inc., Dødheimsgard, Infernö ed alcuni altri.
Naturalmente, si troverà spazio per una gemma musicale, come ad esempio la britannica cult NWOBHM / doom metal Pagan Altar band, fondata nel 1976, ma nei primi anni '80 scomparsa dai palchi mondiali o la band italiana black metal Necromass il cui album debutto Mysteria Mystica Zothyriana del 1994 è ancora considerato una delle pietre miliari del genere.
