Burgess Hill Fairtrade Festival
The Burgess Hill Fairtrade Festival has 12 events over a ten day period as part of the town’s contribution to Fairtrade Fortnight.
We are using a number of venues and are putting on a range of musical and artistic events which will cater for all tastes. The Festival’s opening night is on Friday 2nd March and features folk/rock band IONA… Formed in 1988 IONA has toured extensively in the UK, Europe and USA. The 5 band members are brilliant musicians and the lead vocalist Joanne Hogg has a voice that draws the audinece into another realm (the title of the band’s latest album). ANother key event is a special night with folk legends Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick on Friday March 9th.
