Steve Moakler's company, Free the Birds, helps support nonprofits working hard in the fight against sex trafficking. As he explains, “I thought of these girls as birds that are in cages with clipped wings.” From there, the idea of selling birdhouses sprang forth, as they symbolize both freedom and a haven of hope.
