We’re absolutely thrilled to fly over one of the most versatile and longstanding electronic music artists (not to mention one of our lifetime favourites) to The Nest this week. Brooklyn-Berlin based beatsmith Machinedrum headlines our basement disco, selecting everything from hip hop and juke to jungle, house and bassy techno. After 2011’s Room(s) release, which positioned highly on practically every reputable electronic Album of the Year chart, Machinedrum has toured globally with Planet Mu and had the nation on tenter hooks as to what we can expect from his future output. Always eclectic and never short of perfect, come and be surprised by the producer’s mastermind set on 22nd.
Joining Machinedrum will be London based Throwing Snow, who’s tenaciously ice cold beats have garnered viral support over the past couple of years. His latest EP on Local Action saw three totally divergent dancefloor tracks burst onto the scene, from heavyweight basslines to lo-fi pop melodies and torn-out jungle. A perfect support for the Planet Mu main man, we’re excited to welcome back Throwing Snow.
Effortlessly cool Earnest Endeavours affiliates, Patchwork Pirates, complete the DJ bill with their ever-easy instrumental hip hop beats and vocal bangers, while Stay+ return for some more liveness.
