Vanavond zal de Amerikaanse Def-Jam Records artiest en producer Big K.R.I.T. (King Remembered in Time) zijn soulvolle ‘Southern hiphop’ laten horen in de Oude Zaal. Na enkele succesvolle mixtapes, komt op 5 juni zijn eerste studioalbum ‘Live from the Underground’ uit; een album waarvoor hij heeft samengewerkt met zwaargewichten als Anthony Hamilton, Big Boi, Bun B en 8ball & MJG. De rapper maakt zich hard om de typische ‘Southern hiphop-sound uit de 90’s te herintroduceren. Zoals hij zelf zegt: “I’m reintroducing a type of sound from the South that a lot of the newer generation doesn’t know about and reminding the older generation of what Southern hip-hop used to sound like.”
