Less well known is that he was also an incredible balladeer whose interpretations of romantic classics have survived the tests of time. Nina Simone is best known for combining uncompromising social critique with witty song writing and her distinctively strong yet sultry vocals. However, she was also a Julliard trained piano wizard. ... And so it is: some of our most talented shine so brightly in one aspect that we scarcely recognize the breadth of their gifts. DJ Spinna is one of those talents.
