This Bloomington, Indiana trio plays indie rock that is actually INDEPENDENT! Not another small band using the underground as a means of breaking into the main stream and selling out Houses Of Blues across the country. And they are lovely people to boot. What a concept?
KIND OF LIKE SPITTING
Kind Of Like Spitting have released six previous records on small DIY labels and done many tours, taking a staunchly independent approach to making records and performing. Ben Barnett, the core element of Kind Of Like Spitting, has recently been performing with singer/guitarist David Jerkovich, and their sometimes folksy, sometimes blistering interpretation of the KOLS catalog is impressive to behold. The two are currently working on new material to be released sometime in the near future.
JACK & ACE
Jack and Ace is Bob Nanna (Braid, Hey Mercedes) and Lauren LoPiccolo, playing soulful, personal songs about life, love, and whatever happens next. They are currently writing their first album, which was partially inspired by a recent trip to Death Valley.
