The name Royal Headache has undoubtedly entered your ear holes if you’re in any way a respectful fan of our music scene in some shape or form by now. People who have loved them and attempted to pin point their sound have dubbed them “motown inspired garage” or even “rock ‘n’ soul”. But when it comes down to it Royal Headache are a punk band through and through. And a bloody good one at that.
As one of Sydney’s favorite music blogs put it quite eloquently regarding their recent debut album….

Their lead singer Shogun underpins the merits for such gushing with his rare song writing talents that craft timeless pop songs and distinctive melodic vocal ability that emits the raw emotion seldom witnessed in amongst today’s era of summertime jangle pop and abstract electro acts floating around our parts to a strange amount of critical acclaim….
These riotously good punks will be joining us on Wednesday the 4th of April along with two other diverse gems of our Sydney music scene Palms (who have risen from the ashes of the late but great Red Riders) and our favourite surf garage dudes Betty Airs who are the one band we have trusted to get this momentous evening to a highly energetic and jolly good start!
