Sat 21 Nov – Rise Against, Thursday, Poison the Well
Sun 22 Nov – Rise Against
All good things come to an end, so has this year with amazing Rise Against gigs and fun memories! I put some videos together of clips from Rise Against's last three Europe gigs in 09. Some PTW and Thursday material too, but not that much since those guys only played 30min = too busy dancing like a
.Poison the Well and Thursday are one of these bands whose names I were familiar with, but not the music. Before I was 100% sure I could pull of these few shows on the UK leg of the tour, I didn't even want to listen to them cos -well as it happened, I got really into them, especially PTW so it would have sucked to miss out. Now it was perfect, three shows!! I'm thankful for RA picking out such amazing bands/their friends to play with them at these last shows.
Manchester, warm like Finnish summer, windy as fuck and I had some shit constantly in my eyes. Unfortunately Manchester didn't get to enjoy the energetic performance that is Resuscitation Of A Dead Man when also Tim comes on stage. Other than that and the guys who kept talking whole time during PTW's set, it was fun!
Next two shows accompanied with musaqueen ♥
London. In Manchester the crowd was singing along loud to
Cardiff. Youngest crowd ever! We met a fan who had travelled all the way from South Africa just to see Rise Against who she had got into via Guitar Hero, awesome! The girl next to her at the front got really lucky since she got to be her +1 at meet and greet after the concert. She also offered this ticket to us, but since it was two of us and well..since we have met them already it would have seemed a bit unfair.
The gig.. it was amazing to see them in a smaller venue for a change. Are last shows on tour always this fun? During on PTW song RA+Thursday crew members came on stage holding pieces of paper. My first thought was that someone is asking to marry someone (lol) but the paper's said "Ryan (guitarist of PTW), I'm so mad at you".

Thursday also got their share during the last song when couple PTW guys came to show their body building poses. FUCK THURSDAY (http://twitpic.com/qjzex). Rise Against's odd time was before Dancig for Rain, ptw+thursday and their crew members were dancing on stage. "What the FUCK?" check the video for all this!
One of the personal highlights was the unexpected event when Poison The Well dedicated our favourite song, Prematurtio El Baby to us "for these two ladies"!!! Just because we were awesome enough to just go nuts and show our appreciation for the music, not caring how stupid we looked (cos we surely did). "you guys are awesome!". PTW and Thursday were so nice to us new fans who didn't even know all the words or barely recognized the dudes(*cough*lnd*cough*).
This was so worth everything, definitely want to see them all again.
Excuse the messy writing, I'm still in my cloud nine from this trip!!
Thanks ya'll!
